2020 CIRCE OF MASTERS WILL TAKE THE FOLLOWING COVID 19 PROTECTIVE MEASURES:

 

EVENT ADMISSION

​

ENTRY INTO THE YMCA REQUIRES A MASK – ANYTIME WALKING OUTSIDE OF THE EVENT THE ANDERSON CITY MASK MANDATE IS IN FORCE. THIS INCLUDES GOING TO THE BATHROOM.

 

  1. EVERYONE WILL SIGN OUR WAIVER THAT INCLUDES COVID-19 PROVISIONS.  PARTICIPANTS SHOULD HAVE DONE SO DIGITALLY, WHILE HARD COPIES WILL BE ON HAND FOR SPECTATORS AND VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE NOT REGISTERED ONLINE.   

    • These waivers will be used to document the screening questions.  Therefore, a great deal of time is saved if you do so before attending.

  2. TEMPERATURES WILL BE TAKEN AT THE DOOR OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • ​PARTICIPANTS

  • VOLUNTEERS

  • SPECTATORS

 

​EACH PERSON WILL HAVE TO ANSWER A LIST OF QUESTION ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.

  1. Have you experienced any of the following symptoms in the past 48 hours: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea?

  2. Within the past 14 days, have you been in close physical contact (6 feet or closer for at least 15 minutes) with a person who is known to have laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 or with anyone who has any symptoms consistent with COVID-19?

  3. Have you been isolating or quarantining because you may have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 or are worried that you may be sick with COVID-19?

  4. Are you currently waiting on the results of a COVID-19 test? 

 

 

SANITIZER WILL BE AVAILABLE BY PUMP IN DESIGNATED LOCATIONS.

 

SPECTATORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR MASKS AND SIT WITH PEOPLE FROM THE SAME SCHOOL.

 

VOLUNTEERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR MASKS AND SIT WITH OTHER VOLUNTEERS IF NOT PARTICIPATING OR SPECTATING.

DURING THE ACTUAL EVENT

​

SEMINAR – Traditional seminar format. Instructions will be provided to participants who will be partnered with another student.

  1. PARTICIPANTS CAN CHOOSE WEAR A MASK (you have been cleared to be in the event area).

  2. TO STAY WITH A DOJO MATE FROM THEIR OWN SCHOOL.

  3. TO WORK WITH A FELLOW KARATE-KA FROM ANOTHER SCHOOL.

SHIAI- Tournament format. 

TEAM BLUE VS TEAM RED.

Kata

  1. Participants will be given a designated color to indicate your team.

  2. Participants will be with other participants from other schools.

  3. Participants can choose an empty hand or weapons kata to perform.  It is a good idea to have 2 prepared.

  4. Participant can choose to wear a mask (you have been cleared to be in the event area).

               

Kumite

  1. MANDITORY FACE SHIELDS –   Hanshi Little is providing a clear mask that will be attached to the head gear of the participant.

  2. Volunteers will be set up to apply these to the participant’s head gear using Gorilla Tape. (This works well and is in use at Hanshi Little’s school).

  3. There will be NO HEAD CONTACT due to the use of the plastic masks.
